okay, well i'd rather have "sephiroth" (spelling) anyday, then to have someone like kefka, because it causes a massive facepalm when i see the main villian that just LOOKS like a joke

ill agree sephiroth is over done and people over doing him has made him way flame proof, i'd still rather have that then some of the other main villians i have seen before

and obviously if that WAS kefka, he'd just kill and obliterate anyone anyways, but rationally if someone was dressed like that and came at me, it'd more then likely cause us to go "wtf..?" and smash his face in for being a freakin weirdo

i could never get through ff7 but when i played 6 i fell in love with a series i was indeferent for! btw crazy blodthursty clown bent on world domenation through kill anyone he can on a whim? best bad guy ever

i would like to respectfully disagree with the whole best bad guy ever, honestly i took it as such a fucking joke and i would rate that as the worst bad guy ever, sure he is powerful and a bad guy, but wow if some bad guy dressed like that came at me or my friends, i'd beat his head in for looking like a complete retard, in no way is that evil or badass, its just retarded imo

however ff6 definitly has some good fleshed out characters, despite it being 2D (im not a graphics whore but i love me some 3D )but i did enjoy it somewhat

FF6 has the best story. And gameplay mechanics.

Dont forget the greatest Final Fantasy Vilain of all time.



What other villain has

A: Ascended to godhood
B: Rearranged the land mass of the entire planet killing millions in the process.
C: Shines down beams of death on any city stupid enough to oppose him wiping out entire citys
D: Rules the planet for a full year before being dethroned.

He fulfilled nearly all of his goals short of destroying the entire planet and has the blood of millions on his hands. Only other FF villain to come even close was Sin and he barely holds a candle to Kefka.

His motivations? He doesnt care, he just wants to watch the world burn.

Yes, FF6 completely deserves it's praise. It is however one of the first 16bit RPGs I ever played so I may be a bit bias, but I've always ranked it higher than Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG.

It had some of the best scenes out of the whole series (opera anyone?) and some of the best characters also. People also speak highly about FF4 but I could never finish it after even trying twice.

It probably will always be in a 3 way tie for 2nd with FF9 and DQ8 as my favorite RPG of all time.

Of course Xenogears is 1st.

I always liked FF4, but it was mostly just because of Cecil. Cecil will forever be one of my favorite video game heroes: a man who merely wants to do the right thing, and by God and Heaven he's going to do it.

I would love to see a remake of ff6 on the ds. Similar to the way they redid ff4. Would be the 3rd time I've bought that game.

If they were ever to remake it with a graphical overhaul, I'd prefer it be done for the PSP. Not only would it help boost PSP sales and add one more good game to it's library, but...

The graphics for FFIII and FFIV on the DS... just horrible. They wouldn't do FFVI justice.

A thousand times this. While I found the chibi style graphics of the DS remakes oddly fitting for those old games, it would absolutely ruin the spirit of FF6 and just wouldn't fit at all with the game. Now, if they were to do it in the same art style as kingdom hearts/ Dissidia it would be flat out amazing. Dissidia has already proven how gorgeous it would look on the PSP and how fitting that art style it. Throw in some top notch voice acting and you got a winner. They have already casted a perfect voice for Kefka, and he looks phenomenal in the more kingdom hearts type art stlye.
