Smash TV's "Game Master" achievement. You have to beat it without continuing on default settings. Which, in my opinion, is FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE. Not only is the game 'Nintendo Hard'; it would take an inhuman amount of skill to even stand a chance at it, and to top that off you'd still have to rely on luck. To make matters even worse, the achievement is bugged. There's only 10 people on mygamercard.net who have all 200 points for it, and I seriously doubt that they got it legitimately.

Bullet Witch. Beating hard mode unlocks the harder chaos mode, and beating chaos mode unlocks hell mode. Beating chaos mode unlocks an acheivement worth 250 points, but beating hell mode unlocks an achievement worth ONLY ONE POINT! Rage... Building...

Pretty much all of the ones from Chromehounds. They vary from donating an ungodly amount of money to your faction, to rolling out as a specific class type, I believe, 100 times. Then there's the ones for being number one on the entire server for a season. Making your faction win the war, stuff like that. All of them are real achievements, but damn, they're impossible to get.

In my opinion the worst achievements are those that require an unholy level of skill and dedication to unlock (such as the 7 day survivor from Dead Rising or the Impossible achievement from Guitar Hero 3).

While achievements should be interesting and challanging they shouldn't be impossible and daunting tasks (hard but reasonable).

half life 2 - cross the sand without touching it once - i know its doable but when you get right to the end and a steel sheet glitches slightly and you have to reload its quite argh

half life 2 again - two points - the thing that sent my once 0 5 0 5 0 5 0 5 0 5 achievement to 2 7 2 7 2 7 2 7 2 7 making me go back to water hazard to find the stupid cave

half life 2 yet again - go through ravenholm with just the gravity gun - it's easy enough but when your on a rooftop with a quick zombie with a milkcrate and ammo to use as a projectile, it kinda screws you over

Lastly, half life 2 episode 2 - that goddamn gnome, and the games get rid of a save file to add a new save file in a place we have already saved system doesnt help with it. the amount of times i had to try and jam that thing in the back window only to realise that it firstly fell out at the last stop and secondly that glitch doesnt work unless you do it on a night when the full moon is out and you have a leprechaun in your hat just really annoyed me.

other the that i love half life 2

though all in all collect achievements are the worst, i'll refrain from using half life 2 again so assasins creed flag collection ones

one question

WHY THE FCUK FOR?

Apparently, the achievement for reaching the highest rank in halo wars is supposed to be ungodly hard. Someone on a forum calculated the time it would take if you got X amount of XP per hour and it was a really long time.

Perform (100,000?) Double Jumps as a Scout-TF2

Seriously? What the hell? I've seen alot of people in corners while the game is going just double jumping.

Achievements should be what they're called; achievements. Most of the ones in TF2 are good examples, like Hot Potato; use the pyro air gust thingie to deflect 100 projectiles... so I just went around minesweeping (stickybombs count!) and got it. That was kinda fun, although I probably would have gotten it eventually without trying.

A bad achievement would be the one where you have to light a spy on fire while he's flicking a cigarette... Please! You literally have to have the guy cooperate with you to get it, then it's not so much an achievement so much as it is a "ha ha look what I did guys I'm dumb =D =D =D" moment.

Any achievement not worth any points is also a bad idea, they just waste space.

[edit] Oops! What I meant to say was "ha ha guys look what I did I'm funny =D =D =D"

Mile High Club - call of duty 4. The amount of time spent on that damn achievement... makes my head hurt thinking about it.

I hate all secret achievements because they don't motivate you to get them. But if i had to choose the worst achievement i would say 'The Peterson' on Fifa 09. To get it you have to play for 50 hours and it is only worth 1G. Waste of f***ing time...

Bulletwitch.

Hardest difficulty.

Complete it, and get the prestige of a single gamerscore point.

Seriously.
