I believe any sequel to a movie that was horrible in the first place would fit this category very easily.
For example: Leprechaun 2,Jack frost 2, any horror movie 2, any movie the sci-fi channel makes plus it's sequel 2.

The worst movie ever?

This one. [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089060/] I'll just let one of the IMDb comments speak for the movie here:
Isn't the poster a retouched still from The Shining?

Whatever it is, I concur.

Demon Cop, the DVD box even says its the worst film ever, the acting is the worst I've ever seen, it's as if the "actors" are reading off cards the way they occasionaly stutter on words.

Watch these clips and bear in mind that it's meant to be taken seriously

The Eragon movie. big let down for me because i liked the book and the cut out half of the actual story.
That was awful too, they turned the main character into more of a whiny ass kid then he already was.

The Academy and the general public would disagree with you. ;)

I found The Grapes of Wrath to be boring as hell. Too bad it's so critically acclaimed...
agreed.

You have got to be kidding me. I watched the movie, his performance wasn't the best but wasn't the worse either...Or it's just me having something whit big arenas and gore I don't know.

For me? The worst movie ever would be any movie who has "Movie" in the title...well except for Scary Movie for some weird reason I liked that.

(There was also this Sci-Fi movie directed by the the dude who directed the the Lord of the Rings movie. Long story short: Dude has space ship whit monster aboard. Dude crashes on earth. Dude teams up whit vikings and kills big bad monster. The acting was just awful in that one but sadly I can't remember the exact name of the movie).

Also, any and I mean ANY movie by Uve Boll(If I spelled his name wrong then...I guess sorry?). Really, I watched Bloodrayne out of curiosity and it was just plain terrible. Why does this dude still make movies? I don't get it.

Any of the "movie" movies and the like. They just take bits from other movies out at the time, parodies alot of it and turn it into an abomination of film making. Scary, Date, Epic, Disaster, Hero, meet the Spartans and how many others? Good lord come up with something original and possibly decent.

Well, I could list off one of many B-grade movies, but they're all so terrible it's actually laughable, and a good portion of them know that they're terrible anyway, so it's a bit like calling a generic product from the store a generic product and expecting it to be insulting.

Presumably, you mean any main-stream movie (which is also not genre-savvy enough to self-parody). Max Payne wasn't the worst movie ever?sure it had horrible pacing and the good bits were all expunged in an ejaculatory expository session and the whole angel-demon thing was apparently just for shits and giggles unlike in the games as I hear, but it had good violence at points which served to drown out the movie taking itself too seriously. I haven't actually seen The Spirit (nor will I ever if I have any say in the matter), so I can't really comment on it. Snakes On A Plane is just one of those unintentionally hilarious movies, and for that it gets points.

Probably the worst, utterly irredeemable box-office movie that I've seen was Batman Forever. Just aurgh.

I utterly despise Tolkien fan-fict?I MEAN TOTALLY ORIGINAL STORYTELLING and for that reason I will never, ever ever subject myself to Eragon in any form: book, movie or combined with finely-ground cocaine, much as I can never find any way to subject myself to Uwe Boll after watching half of one of his movies (which he actually gets paid to make by the German government, I found out?maybe they're paying him to leave them the hell alone).

I would have to say Cloverfield is pretty darn far up on my list. Top 2 or 3 maybe. I've seen too many movies (especially in recent years) to say the number 1, but I suppose if I had to pick, that'd be it. My friend and I left that movie and for about 4 hours all we could say was "what the f***?" because we thought it was so awful. It was an hour and 45 minutes of "ROB! ROB! ROB!" Then when you finally see the monster, its for like, 30 seconds, and really not all that scary, at least not what I imagined it to be.

hahahahahaha, nice.
the worst movie ever is probably something like princess barbie 4, barbie goes for a picnic with the munchkin king. so lets rule out that sort of answer.
instead i'm going to pick the most OVER-HYPED movie evarrr. and my choice is... donnie darko. shock, horror! it wasn't BAD or anything, i actually quite liked it, but it sickens me how over-hyped it became. it wasn't THAT good ffs.
or maybe it's because people i hate like it. one of the two.

The Butterfly Effect. Good God, it was TERRIBLE.

When someone tries to make A Sound of Thunder into a movie, you get THIS. The extras are better actors than the main cast, the monsters aren't believable, their "time-travel" makes no sense (two timelines somehow merging entirely, rather than one replacing the other and characters getting misplaced into it.)

Runners Up:
Evolution (Sort of good at first, but the ending was just too unbelievable to follow)

Chasing Amy (Ok, this is sort of a lie. This movie is by no means terrible, but from the maker of Clerks, I just expected a little better than this.)

...okay, I'm changing my submission.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I submit to you: Starcrash [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDk6LDGYQs4].

Never mind that it has absolutely atrocious acting, poor sound work, questionable science ("We tracked you by your friction trail"?!) and David Hasselhoff with a lightsabre [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sC-dwjrinK0]... the very fact that, less than three minutes in, the line "Scan it with our computer waves" is uttered, locks this one in as the worst movie ever.

Seriously, I'm tempted to go to every forum I frequent and change my signature to "Scan it with our computer waves".
