Probably my back surgery. I had to have my spine un-curved, and that was accomplished with a series of screws, and morphine.

I want to say when I broke my leg (spiral fracture) but I think the one that takes the cake is when I went to the dentist. It was a very in depth check up to check the conditions of my teeth and gums.

First of all, the did a bleed test, this involved slightly scratching my gums (front only (I think, was a long time ago), on both sets, right by the teeth) and getting them to bleed. They covered the entire length, slowly, I might add. Then the dentist poked the same sharp bit of metal in between each tooth to get out the plaque, it was only painful when she caught the gum (She was a student dentist (also VERY attractive) and was free so I can't complain about small cock-ups) however, that feeling when it scratches against the tooth feels horrible to me.

This took roughly an hour.

I found a good way to numb the pain is by rationalising what pain actually is (repeat the thought "sensation generated by the brain due to signals from the nerves" and that by this logic, you only THINK it hurts.)

It's either when I was at camp and my twig and berries ran into a tree at like 20 mph or when I had to get 5 stitches in my foot.

Having half my foot amputated and having to spend 3 weeks in hospital in agonizing pain. I was 14 at the time. The upside is I no longer have to clip my toe nails or worry about my toes getting stepped on.

Just last Sunday I was swimming in my pool, and water got in my left ear. I couldn't get it out. My left ear also has a hole in the eardrum from when I was a kid. The water has gotten behind my eardrum and outside of it. I was trying to get the water out when my mom suggested, "I heard that if you put a couple of drops of alcohol in your ear it'll dry up the water." I decided to give it a try. When the first of two drops got into my ear it immediately started hurting and burning. I shot up before anymore of the alcohol could go farther. It turns out that the water was in my ear for too long and gave me an infection known as "Swimmer's Ear" that's why the alcohol hurt so much. I went to the ER and now I have to take medicine to get rid of the infection. In the meantime, I still have water behind my eardrum that can't get out because the infection is blocking the hole in my eardrum.

Oh, and I have two infections. One in the outer ear canal, which is the inside of the ear to the ear drum, and an infection in the middle ear, which is right behind the eardrum. I have to take the medicine for another five days, then it will hopefully be gone.

Physical? not going there.
Mental? the realization that first order logic taught me logic is worthless.
Emotional? Heartbroken betrayed disgust. . . at myself.

that was bad but most pain was when i cut my self with a chisel-don't ask-lasted for a long time and then the doctor gave me local anestic to prep it, i didn't look but i swore she jammed the needele into the would which was down into my thumb fat mind you.

I also have had a few problems with my kidney's which basically debilitate me for 10 mins at a time.

Nail in my foot.
About 1/3 of the way I think...

That or when I had to walk on the swollen foot from said Nail, so I could climb a ladder and hand my brother a hammer.
I also had a raging headache from the pain of my foot. Painful, vomit inducing headaches/Migraines run in my family, more or less.
Psh thats nothing, I know someone who stepped on a nail and it went straight through their foot, and they ran all the way indoors with the nail in their foot, which was attached to a big wooden plank...

I hit a large pot-hole in a street when I was ten. I slid on the assfualt with my face for a good solid five feet and then I also slid on the area of my pant line for another five feet. There was a lot of blood from my freshly skinned nose but that pain was little compared to the skinned pant line. I had to peal my boxers off the forming scab every day. Two weeks of missery right there...

I visited that same street a few years back, the hole's still there, and so is the blood trail I left on it. Ouch...

The worst pains that I have ever felt are the headaches. I get them because my eyes are so bad. If I wear my glasses the strength gives me a headache. If I take them off, the lack of focus gives me a headache. I hate headaches because you can't focus on anything.

Dunno if anyone else has had this, but sometimes when I stretch out my leg it's like a muscle behind my shin pulls itself.

THAT hurts like a *****.

Kidney stone. It got stuck between the kidney and the bladder for a couple days. On a related note, I love morphine.

I have had a torn ligament in my anlke twice, I dont the remember the first time being too painful only when I walked on it of course though, the 2nd time I remember being quite painful though, but if I had a bandage on for say 1 hour then took it off all the blood would be released into my foot alot faster for some reason, not even having the bandage on too tight either and it was excruciating eye watering pain, I couldnt sleep from the pain. One day about2 5 days after I had done the injury i was walking with my crutches and i was going through the hallway at home and I put one if the cruthes onto the wood that runs along the wall at the base (i dunno maybe its called a skirting board of something) and then it slipped off when I pushed down on it and jolted my entire body and put my foot in serious pain for about 4 hours.
That was about a year ago or so, even now my ankle is better I still wear a bandage on my ankle every time i go for a run or play soccer or wateva.
Both injuries were actually from Soccer so maybe that is the world telling me to stop playing as it is not my favourite sport, I just play cuz all my friends are too small and weak to play Rugby with me, So i dont play Rugby I play soccer, maybe I should start playing Rugby instead.
