I dunno, my skin is incredibly thick, so I don't cut easily, I'm not an overly active guy, so I've never broken anything, I'm assuming emotional pain isn't the point of this thread. Sooo, the worst pain I can remember having? Probably just a stubbed toe or something.

It's a close one between when I had my tonsils out (the first day or so afterwards I was throwing up blood, every time i sat up I had a nose bleed, not being able to eat because of the pain and having to be put on oxygen), which is more of a chronic pain, or breaking my arm (which is more of an acute pain).
Overall I'd go for the tonsils

There's a lot! Umm the time I had an abscess in my tooth and it got infected and started agitating the nerve, a very bad 3-4 weeks! Then the time I cracked open the back o' my head, and then the time I got flung off a quadbike after the bike decided to go for a barrel roll, i've repeated this story several times on the escapist...it grows boring after awhile...BUT STILL AWESOME!

So yeah those are some of the worst...others I can't remember!

When I was about 9 I had a surgery on my foot. During the surgery they put screws in my foot to hold it and then put a cast on. A couple months later I went to get the screws taken out, and they didn't put me to sleep or giv me anything to numb the pain. That hurt TONS.

Rheumatoid Arthritis, when I had no pain medication and no idea why my joints were inflamed and why I could't open my hands or move my fingers.

I woke up every morning with pain I'm going to compare to having a nail shoved in between the phalanges, or like something had been broken over the night.

Also. Cramps. The girly kind. Ow.

I'd have to say there is no worse pain imaginable than a migraine. I've bust my head open, stabbed myself through the foot, had a tooth pulled, fell down a cliff, got sunburnt *there*, kicked in the crotch, smashed in the head with a steel bar, got chilli juice in my eyes, dislocated my shoulder but when looking hurts then "ho boy".
Thankfully, when I get migraines I tend to fall asleep very quickly just as the pain sets in. My vision goes, then I get a headache and I feel incredibly drowsy. If I lie down anywhere at that stage, I immediately fall asleep/pass out.

Worst pain I've had is an inexplicable day-long pain in my gut, a really intense dull pain right in my gut, I was writhing around in pain in my bed for three hours and it wouldn't stop. It was awful, I was trying to watch I, Robot...

Oh yeah, and this one time in Chemistry class, we were boiling water off of some solution we had created to make a salt. We had apparently left some acid in or something and the acid was boiled off. I walked past it whilst it was boiling and POW! Oh God, it was the first time a smell ever punched me in the face. It was horrible. Like a burning inside your nose. Really powerful at first then it lingers.

It's probably been said but... child birth. My first daughter had a very very large head -.-

I'll also sympathise with anyone whose said toothache and I saw someone had said stabbed... well I wasn't stabbed. I would have had my arm lopped off if a police woman hadn't pulled me away from my ex but he did still manage to get me. Split my arm right open and I never got it stitched or anything, really wish I had now as it's scarred me for life :(

My cluster headache? Kind of felt like someone constantly punching just above my eye.

My achilles tendons cut? I woke up from the opearation and saw my legs in casts. Then the pain came to me. Alot of pain.

I had a bit of an accident cutting wood with an axe (No puns shall be made. None.) years ago and my right little finger is now a stump and my ring finger goes up to the first knuckle. Thankfully it was my right hand, so I can play bass and guitar fine, but it hurt like a motherbitch and looks strange as hell (although I've gotten used to how it looks, sometimes I wake up and it's in my sight and gives me a start).

Strangely, I know quite a few people who have lost fingers (or parts of them). My cousin lost the tip of his left middle finger, my friend's brother lost his right ringfinger (it got bitten off by a dog. How cool (and a bit sick) is that?) and my english teacher a few years ago was completely missing a left hand.

Just this last Monday I had to go to the dentist to have 2 back teeth removed. Completely painless job. But after that when they took the thing out of my mouth that holds my mouth open I couldn't close my mouth. I had developed a severe case of lock jaw where it had moved out of place too far during the process. Trying to close it was extremely painful. They gave me two more shots in my mouth near the back and even that didn't help much. You know how you have to move away from pain, its a natural thing. This was racking my entire head with pain from the pressure on my jaw bones. They Had three other dentist and nurses hold me down then the main dentist lady had to practically straddle me and force my jaw back into place and close it. The dentist said it was the worse case of lock jaw she ever saw. My dang jaw is still sore from that.

I was stabbed in the side once when I was a younger teen. It was stupid too. I was at a skating ring and some kind of gang fight broke out and I happened to be wearing the wrong color or something.

When I was really young, maybe about 5-6, while fishing with my family one of the castings from my mother's boyfriend hooked into the back of my left wrist. So when he swung to cast the line it ripped the back of my hand open. I'm glad I don't remember that one.

When I was 11-12 a boomerang hit me in the face and sliced right into the bridge of my nose. I do remember I didn't feel anything at first, but when it kicked it I don't know how to describe it. My nose was hanging off my face and had to be stitched back on.

Abcess under my front 4 teeth without doubt. Actually, scratch that, that was the second most painful thing, most painful experience was the actual injection into the abcess. Jesus, that was intense. It didn't last long but...wow. Possibly made worse as whilst I was expecting pain it still caught me off guard. *shudder* Not fun.

It beats appendicitis (wahey!), cameras being put 'places', broken elbow (surprisingly not that painful, more odd) and tearing my ankles/wrists and knees more times than I can count. Actually that hurt quite a bit first time I dd it, once you hit double figures it becomes less of a big deal, more of an 'shit, again?!'.

The fct that I have to wake up tomorrow, and listen to the same F*CKING idiots talk about the same F*CKING thing over and over and over and over...

but if your talking about physical pain, the time my toe was twisted all the way around kinda sucked.
the feeling keapt alternating between burning and tingly, to I would start swearing like a trucker and then giggle maniacally.

Landed on my tail bone from a 7 feet drop, while my back was straight. My back was compressed, and there might be a little fraction in my spine. Though I have never been X-ray'ed so I wouldn't know. I was only 7-8 years old and I don't remember it very clearly. But from what I remember my vision went jet black for about 10-20 seconds because of the pain.

I'm scared of pain, so I don't do stuff like jumping off walls or anything. I do have arthritis and that fucking kills me sometimes. Like waking up screaming in pain, like all your muscles are on fire.
Emotional pain... I'm awful with depression. I've got it again now and I think I've hit the lowest I can get. I'd rather be in physical pain than emotional.

I try not to remember the bad things in life...

Probably emotional since I have an inhumanly high pain threshold.

If you mean physical... God I'm trying to remember something but nothing's coming to mind. I mean electrocuting myself on a street light probably hurt but that went away fairly quickly, while as you say toothache sticks around for a while.

The most annoying would be when you constantly change screens so your eyes and head start to hurt from different framerates/resolutions.

I did a cannonball into a pool in the shallow end (expecting it was the deep end), and fractured 2 toes. Before I realized it was fractured, I walked on it some and it hurt like hell.

General anaesthetic in my big toes to remove an in growing toe nail (one in each). Apparently general anaesthetic doesn?t agree with small, not very fleshy limbs :/
