I was really pleased by Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

The prince travels back in time to warn Farrah about the Vizier and it is revealed that he was telling the story to her all along. And then when Farah asks him his name he responds "Kakulukia" before leaving and Farah is left puzzled about why he knew her secret word.

Saints Row 2. When the ultor guy got shot I was just thinking "BOOM HEAD SHOT"....plus "what ever the f**k we want to" is a great final sentence.

Braid - (One of the only game endings I hadn't spoilt with spoilers. I tend to play games a few years after they're out, so unfortunately I usually know how they end etc.)

Ocarina of Time and Portal are also memorable.

OT: Despite the fact I hated the campaign for CoD: WaW (only the Russians saved it for me), I loved it's ending - and that's the in-game sequence, not the immersion-breaking "this amount of people died" caption afterward.

The endings to Final Fantasy X and IX made me cry D; And I loved VIII's, but it was quite happy, so I didn't cry.

i thought the ending for Majora's Mask was disappointing. amazing end boss fight, shame about the ending. Ocarina of Time had a much better ending.

not sure what game i would say has the best ending. Eternal Darkness had a pretty good ending and the prologue after beating all 3 Ancients was great

Devil May Cry 1 or 3 had pretty good endings. Fallout 3 and Mass Effect were alright. I also really liked Fable's ending.

Final Fantasy X's ending for me, even though it was a sad one.

That was the first thing that popped into my head.

Humourous ending: Castle Crashers.
