hmmm I'd have to say System of a Down was the first metal band, but it was Trivium's first album which got me into metal.

Metallica, especially their first 3 albums before Cliff Burton died, then it went downhill from there. Their other albums are good, bun not as good as their first 3.

Korn for me, it was the Song Blind. I was a techno fan until I heard that song.... thank god for Korn. I mostly listen to System of a Down now.

Sepultura or possibly Metallica, or maybe G'n'R. It was many moons ago and my memories are cloudy at best.

Exactly the same goes for me. I got to know the three groups around the same time, and I currently still hold Guns N Roses and Metallica in my heart, along with their newest albums. Good times.

Some Metal is good, but a lot of it is just screaming, so i tend to shy away from those kinds of bands

Korn for me. Their first CD is their best. Now I listen mostly to Lamb of God.

Same for me, them and Limp Bizkit, i know more nu metal but still metal right? Me and my best mate stole his sisters Korn and LB albumns when she went on holiday, back in the day when GTA london had just came out on PS1
