Containing a top of the line laptop, a gaming desktop, a tent (in case I'm not in solitary, I want privacy) an iPod Touch (all with 500 terrabyte hardrives) and a really fast wireless router.
And a tv, along with a ps3 and a huge library of games. Along with a credit card belonging to billionaire.

I'd take my DnD books, the dank squalor of prison cannot best my imagination! Not to mention the idea of hardened criminals pretending to be elves and wizards is too funny to pass up.
My computer with the condition to have an internet connection as well (since I wouldn't actually bring that i think it can be ok within the rules ) I can pirate everything I want, games, movies, tv shows and be entertained for the rest of my life, I mean .. what are they gonna do to me, put me in jail ?

A jail at exact 1-1.1 scale, complete with a slightly smaller me, being given the opportunity to enter jail with a replica of the jail at 1-1.2 scale. Eventually the number of slightly smaller jails inside each other will rupture space time continuum, and we shall go back in time to before I committed the crime so I can better cover it up!

I would make a deal with the government to let me be in the my own prison. It has happened before and I would make it happen for me as well
I assume I can't bring anything to help me escape, so I'd have to say my towel. When in doubt, bring a towel.
Or maybe a composition notebook of some kind to write in. Not as a journal, I just like writing.

If I were sent to jail with one object,, I'd take either a portal gun (obvious reasons, endless fun ), a needle filled with Midi-chlorians (fun with the force ) OR I'd take a light saber in with me. light sabers make endless fun as well, use them in the shower an anti-pick-up-the-soap device, and if i ever got bored i could scribble on the walls and doddle on the floor.
