Poll: Do you consider yourself a nerd?

If you even know that Runescape exists... ...you know you're a huge nerd . . . Some others off the top of my head: If your job description says forum administrator... ...you know you're a huge nerd If you've ever turned your laptop on in a tent... ...you know you're a huge nerd...

BioWare: No SecuROM for Dragon Age: Origins

This makes me very happy. As I love BioWares games I'd probably gotten this anyways, but these news makes it a must-buy. Let's hope the gaming community makes good with our promises to respect and purchase. If DRM was the reason we didn't buy Spore, MassEffect etc than we should show devs...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - The Game (Wombaterine, SNICKT!)

Thanks for this review. I'll wait until the price drops a bit before I buy

Poll: Do you consider yourself a nerd?

Yeah. I'm a nerd. Even though my clothes and tattoos might indicate otherwise. I've toured Europe with my band, but instead of nailing groupies I usually spend time after shows drinking beer while talking to weirdos about rare records and sci-fi shows. Sometimes those weirdos are female...

    Your relaxation game

Skate 2 I never get tired of this game. Either I just cruise around, looking for a good spot to spend a couple of hours doing variations of tricks or go online to play freeskate with others. I love how I can play the game with the same attitude that my friends and I had when skating in...

    Did Bush do anything right?

The replies in this thread leads me to believe the erports we've gotten over here that US citizens really are eating the crazy stuff they're spoonfed, and enjoying it too. I live in a counry with nationalized health care - and it's great. You pay a small fee when you see a doctor or go to the...

    Your best WTF Moment(s)

Final year at school (we were 19) when a guy in my class borrowed my glasses and got all excited since "the world went 3D" when he looked through them.

    Did Bush do anything right?

Bush didn't, but Cheney shot a guy in the face. I live in europe, and we've only read the stories about his screw-ups, so I wouldn't really know

    Poll: Tattoos

I am addicted, and quite covered. Lack of space has me moving on to hand and neck stuff now. BTW I'm quite old and I've never regretted it for a second. Even though some of them are pretty shitty.

    Martial Arts?

I do Aikido, and it's fun. I've gotten a better posture and gained better balance and more control over my body out of it, as well as having fun. But for real world self-defense I recomend a quick kick to the shins and the art of running away as fast as you can.

    Most Original Game

One of the most original games I've played in recent years is Farenheit. Yes, the story gets quite silly, and the ending leaves much to be desired, but the fast-paced decision making and gripping narrative had me hooked all the way trough. It was fast paced, yet deep and immersive, and even...

Which game(s) have a good story line good enough to make a decent film

I second that. A great story that could easily been made into an epic and compelling movie (or even trilogy), as long as the powers that be kept Lucas' smelly hands off it. We are, sadly, left to dream...

    Gamers in the real world

The Tony Hawk games had me looking at buildings in an entirely new light. Often I'd catch myself imagining the most effective way to grind ledges on a building to get to the roof. There might be an awesome drained pool there. After switching to Skate, however, I'm just constantly reminded how...

Poll: Other then Gaming, what else occupies most of your brain matter?

I listen to, and play, hardcore punk rock. It keeps me young(ish) and angry. I'll never get too old for stage dives and high fives.

First Truely Violent Game you ever played?

Barbarian, for the Commodore 64. The graphics were amazing, and the attack where you'd spin around and decapitate your opponent made me love computer games with a fervor only an 8 year old on a sugar rush can muster. The small green goblin shuffling into view from the wings and dragging the...
