Sonic The Hedgehog. Everything after the Adventure games was pure unadulerated crap.
Mario. We had a good one with Galaxy, lets end on a high note.
Pokemon. The first gen wasnt even that good. Now they have like 500 different species, and I only like maybe ten of them. Its also got a complicated and boring turn based system.
Everything World War II. The sheer number of games in this genre is too much, and I hate the way that they are always like "America wins the war" and ignoring England, Russia, Australia, Canada, and all the other countries that fought on the allied side.

The few franchises that don't suck should be given to the good developers. In fact there should be A: a system of licensing for game development, B: keep tabs on whats good so that any franchise with a minimum number of entries get handed over to someone good, C: a law that limits sequels, or D: any combination of the above.finepilot said:I was going to think up my own, but then I read this and realised that I couldn't agree more.Abedeus said:EA games. All of them. Stop making them and give them to other, better developers, like Valve or Bioware.
