I am a huge Pokemaniac.
It looks pretty meh to me. But My gut says its a common Pokemon.

I am very excited for the G/S remakes.

In the real world, Dr. Glocktor (PhD?), originality only goes as far as how practical it is and how well it sells. Besides, MW2 and ME2 both cater to Western tastes. Pokemon is and always has been an Eastern sensation.

Also, don't you ever ever ever ever imply Mass Effect 2 isn't original, or I'll shove your forceps up your butt.

I'm not saying it's not. But it still keeps the winning formula from Mass Effect, no? The 5th gen will simply be another sequel, but people whine about how it isn't original anymore, but cry tears of joy when Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2 are announced.

Anyways in regards to other comments posted:

GBA generation killed everything the GBC generation created. DS has given it nothing but the faintest of pulses.

There are way too many bloody pokemon, I caught all 151 on Blue, and haven't even bothered since then because I actually have a life now. (And I didn't have to go chasing around the damn countryside looking for the legendary birds either!)

Yeah, I've tried to follow the new Pokemon, but 3rd generation is as far as I'll go. From this point on, fan Pokemon are going to be better in every way. Maybe I'll accept one new ghost-type, since they're my favourite, or a water-type that isn't shit, but beyond that I'm done. SoulSilver is a far-off goal for me still, but after I get that I don't think I'll ever need another Pokemon game ever.

I really hate people who whine about how much better the first and second gen was than the newer ones. Just old men who have too much nostalgia and like to make life harder for the younger kids. Even if the new ones were somehow MORE ridiculous than the original premise of pokemon inherently makes it out to be, you can't blame them. After thinking up of 300 or so ideas and names, it's bound to get harder to come up with more.
