Only if they are sentient. If an earth animal somehow achieves sentience or if sentient aliens arrive here on earth, then we have no control any sentient creature, human or otherwise.

I dont even believe in human rights, so youd have a hard time convincing me that other creatures deserve them.

There are so many humans Id kill rather than step on an ant, so thats why I dont believe just because some idiots made up these "human rights" that all humans apparantly "deserve", that it some how makes them exist.

Human rights are for Humans. If we had a District 9 situation, we'd have to make some new rights. We don't even know if they'd need the same things as us.

Of course not.
How can rights for humans apply to non-humans.
Animal rights apply for animals, dog rights for dogs, ect.
you cant force rights that humans have come up with onto other species. Its wrong.
We might think a dog killing another dog is murder and put the murdering dog down, and thats the dead dogs rights and the rights of its owners. But in the animal world its perfectly acceptable for two dogs to fight over a mate or territory or something else. The poor dog thats going to be put down wont understannd what hes done wrong. hes just doing what his ancestors have always done and whats in his nature.
They should have dog rights that apply to their species. Not our rights.

If they are sentient, they should have human rights. However, you may have to re-evaluate how you phrase those rights. It all boils down to a system that permits the individuals to have maximum happiness without infringing on the happiness of others.

If they came to Earth woundn`t it be more an issue of immigration or visiting rights or something

I do not think that aliens with super-powered technology have to negociate their `human rights` with us. More the other way round.

I think that the point was more hypothetical that human rights cannot suit the needs of everyone.

Yes, if we were to maintain a peaceful and productive relationship with an alien rac we would need to extend the same respect we would to any other country we might deal with. On the same note, just like if someone were a guest or maybe a soldier was stationed in another country, he would be subject to the host countries laws and regulations and be expected to be respectful toward local customs. The same would apply to extraterrestrial visitors coming to OUR planet.

And whose to say the aliens are always superior to us? Maybe they come from a planet with low gravity or hydrogen based life forms? Therefore they would be much frailer so their weapons probably wouldn't work on us as we are made of much stronger stuff.

As long as they don't have rituals that are harmful to others, then yes. I would vote for Urdnot Wrex if he ran for president.

Depends, other equally sentient and civilized life would deserve equal rights, otherwise it would be similar to racism :)

Well, some rights that we consider "Human Rights" should be the rights of all sentient beings. Freedom, for example, should not be denied to any intelligent creature.

Hmm, they did a movie on that very thing. What was it. .. .
But anyway, I don't think I could ever give a good if not appropriate answer. Not until we meet any Extra-Terrestrials and hear what they have to say about. Until then, I'm neutral.
And just a note; it was a much older sci-fi movie.

They deserve rights, that keep us and them satisfied. There is no way two completely different species are going to be happy so we'll settle for satisfied.

So... no. We'll figure out a workable solution, but trying to force them under the rights we prefer is probably more of a crime.

When there are Aliens to wonder about then I will care. But for the sake of argument.

But what if the Aliens are like the Aliens from said movie? Would you care about rights then? How about an Alien Race like the Predators? Do you advocate rights then? Because they certainly would not care about our rights as humans.

So I guess if they are peaceful and friendly yes. If they are violent and psycho then no, fuck them. Blow them away freely! Power to the Human Empire!!!
