EDIT: Oh, I get it now. You're trolling or trying to make a point.

You're not really good at it.
except that it took almost a whole page before most people caught on. so, he's actually pretty good.

I get where you are going with this and for the most part I agree. That being said its over most folks head and since you're dealing with your issue honestly its difficult to address.

I will say that often the reason women don't confront employers/co-workers with Sexual Harassment has a lot to do with in office politics and just vanilla physical intimidation.

Actually, no one seems to have caught on. This guy is quite excellent.

The right choices are:
1) Ask her to stop in person. If you feel really really uncomfortable with that, then maybe talk to HR who should inform her she's being out of line.
2) After asking her to stop, if it continues, officially report harassment to HR.
3) Unless absolutely nothing is done about it, that should be it. But, if the harassment claim is ignored, THEN you should consider legal action.

These steps should be followed by men AND women.

I think you should try talking to her, ask why she's being so flirtatious.

A Sexual harasment claim is a bit much for someone who is abit too flirty.

When she starts grabbing your crotch and pulling you into the store cupboard against your will, That is when you should start considering filing a complaint.

Personally, I would go along with it. But, I'm a hungry nymphomaniac.
Older women, younger women, silly putty; Its all the same.

I wouldnt. Just ask her to stop. Or take advantage of her, or her hot daughter if she has one?

You know what? Fuck it. Women file claims for men looking at them wrong, so you might as well give a legal slap back.
Yes, this whole "being the bigger person" is so tiresome and immature.

Wait, what?
How is sitting on your ass and doing nothing being a bigger person? Everytime I hear/see the "bigger person" argument, it just sounds like they're telling the person to back down and cower.
No, but how about having an actual conversation with them first? How does that hurt your cause? THAT's begin the bigger person. Overreacting and screaming "But they do it all the time!" is not.
Not saying he should "sit on his ass", saying he should be a mature, reasonable individual.
Welcome to 2011. I haven't met a "mature, reasonable individual" in years. The fact that he is asking the internet for help on what basically sounds like nothing more than an old woman petting some hair kind of seals that.
If you agree that the woman is just "petting some hair", and yet go ahead and claim "Claim sexual harassment right away", aren't you sort of proving your own point about there not being any "mature, reasonable individuals"?

For some reason I have a suspicion that this guy is a troll.
And if you are not a troll, please don't sue people unless you've actually come to harm. Taking people's money because they rubbed your head is both greedy and down right stupid. Tell her to stop first, then again, then tell a superior.

... I noticed when the OP made his second post. Obvious troll was fairly obvious.

But, on topic anyway, man the hell up. At my work I get touched by men and women coworkers all the time, had my ass slapped, hands on hips, people stroking my back, etc. Deal with it. This is advice I give to men AND women (I'm female) - harmless fun is exactly that. Harmless. Innocent flirting is fun, and importantly; innocent. I hate the attitude of people today where it's general practice to make a mountain out of a molehill. Just... grow up.

Do you really feel sexually harassed?

If not no.

Taking the high road isn't easy, but it means you're worlds above the rest of the population. Playing the, "Oh I'm offended" Game when you're not offended or feel objectified is just wrong and Karma will get you @_@

I know. If you listen closely, you can almost hear the sound of a hundred pennies waiting to drop.
