Not manyly? How can you get anymore manly than this?

Seriously though dont try to infulence peoples thoughts, thats no one place but that person. Just let them exist, even if you think they are wrong, hes not exactly hurting anyone.

Manly? As a whole, it just isn't.

And sports? Manly? Same as games, just involves different types of muscle.

Manly should be when you build (a family) and dominate (everybody else). And noticing these crybabies isn't part of it.

OT: I'd say I do what I want and agree that most of it is shit indeed. But then mention one or two good ones and explain how there's a huge pile of money and opportunity with exploiting people's greed by using their brainless kids legally.

They CAN go together well and when don't... well then then maybe you as a couple don't go together.

Any girl who says "it's me or your games" is no woman you should want to be with. If you asked her "it's me or your shoes" that'd be a god damn good reason to split.

So there's this guy on some radio show I listen to who, whenever anything that involves video games(or animation, comics, sci-fi, fantasy, or whatever remotely related), is mentioned, he always answers with...

"I don't watch/play/read that stuff... I like girls... I like sports... I like ESPN..."

Basically, everything else not sports related or involves real women to this guy is not manly... its all kids stuff...

People in my daily life are starting to say similar lines and its starting to piss me off...

So, Besides ignoring them (or turning the radio off), What is a good response to people who think that everthing you like is not "Manly"?

How would you respond to these "manly" people?
Ask them to prove it by presenting a woman they would "lay claim to". If they cant, tell them they're fail and to kindly kill themselves off for the rest of the human population. If they do, punch them in the face and take said woman.

Though this doesnt seem to apply to me, as I have yet to meet anybody like this. I suppose the best plan of action is not to talk to them.

You have to face it, poeple like this are just an evolutionary dead end, soon they'll die out or branch out into another race. then there'll be a war, and they'll be four feet bigger than us, and strong enough to throw cars around but hey, we'll have plasma rifles by then.

Usually point out the hypocrisy. Last month I went on holiday to my Aunt and Uncle's house. We went out one day and I bought a comic book at a bookshop (Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War if you must know). My Uncle then proceeded to scold me saying that comic books are for kids (I'm 21). While that is a statement you can argue with I instead pointed out that this is coming from the man who collects issues of The Beano, and has done so for years. THAT's a comic for kids.

People who say those kinda things are those kind of people who think that shallow things in life are better...they just suck up to the most basic media given ideas that they think are cool. I'm not saying that those things aren't cool, I'm just saying that there is more to life than just wake up in the morning, watch sports all day and than have sex with a girl or doll or something. So don't bother yourself with people like that...just let them be :D.

So leave them to their own puritanical ideas.

Playing video games is every bit a hobby as anything else you can do in your spare time, and you're about as likely to make a career out of something pertaining to it as a guy who watches ESPN is going to either end up playing pro sports or commentating on them.

Manly is a term that should only be used jokingly... It's so broad. In theory, you could make it mean anything you want...

"You're manly? So you have testicles? Okay, your point?"

Ignore them. They're not worth it. Also, this seems like as good a time to refer you all to this article by Ben Croshaw: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/columns/extra-punctuation/7597-Extra-Punctuation-Male-Protagonists

To be perfectly honest, the kind of people who have an obsession with being 'manly' are the least manly people of all.

Real men admit when they're wrong, have emotions and aren't ashamed if they do something that's not part of the male stereotype.

All you can do is strive to out-breed them. In that way, we can gradually shift the status quo in our favor. Get to work, boys.

Kick them in the very-soon metaphorical balls and go, "Where's your manhood now, *****?!"

Or... Give him Gears of War or something. Pretty much a football match if you put all the guys in football uniform in half a car and make them wield chainsaws.
