^^I just love Motorhead. Classic metal has a special place in my heart. Honorable mentionings also go to Alice In Chains and Tool.

I don't care if you asked for non-mainstream.
[HEADING=2]System of a Down[/HEADING]

Both musically and lyrically. With songs about politics, genocide, personal stories and just plain random fun songs. Which is what makes them easily my favorite band of all time.
How did you not include Aerials in that?

Also you should check out this...
*Cough* Toxicity *Cough*

Although to be fair, those bands are all very mainstream if you're into indie rock.

Specifically, what's your favorite non-mainstream band?
Mine's CLUTCH, an American Metal group. From "Transnational Speedway" to "Strange Cousins from the West", they have yet to disappoint me.
Me too. Kyuss also kick much ass.

PLEASE listen to this. If you don't like it you no doubt have mental issues. It has the Jackass boys in the (very amusing) video if you need more convincing.

Oh and if you want to post youtube...

Just so you know, I live in Australia so this doesn't help me much. It also doesn't help that Australia is not known for it's music, because we don't have that much of it and local radio stations are a joke. Appreciate the thought though.
Oh, sorry. THought that might work for you, since it can stream live.

Well, if I'm on the computer, I may as well listen to my own music. If it worked for a car radio then that would help, but not so much now. Least I got Cd's... Thanks anyway though.

Heard one song on Sirius and got totally hooked on them. Super excited about going to see them in March, it's not often that they tour in NA, and not for any period of time.
Wow! Sweet. Thanks for that mate.

These are mostly my new favorites. The Appleseed Cast, though, is one of my enduring favorites alongside 30 Seconds To Mars, Anberlin, Circa Survive, Paramore, Kamelot, Opeth, and Death.

Minus The Bear : When We Escape [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsZGfzPiJC0]

Yeasayer : Sunrise [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwUctgGIZJQ]

Two Door Cinema Club : Come Back Home [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dv--y03Wm6A]

The Appleseed Cast : Here We Are (Family In The Hallways) [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVTVNTe-eQc]

The XX : Islands [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PElhV8z7I60]

Side note: Glad to see the AIC love and that someone mentioned Heaven Shall Burn. Also, Diablo Swing Orchestra from page 2 is badass.

Metric. Love all of their CDs. Can listen to their whole discography all the way through.

With this being my favorite song from them.
